This bunch was from the Miniature Market. I was able to grab some older games that I missed along with some new ones. I got a demo of Bottom of the 9th at PAX and it looks really fun. We’ll do a Baseball boardgame themed show later this winter for the hot stove.

Mike Plays Star Realms
This is the first episode of a new recurring series. Star Realms is one of my favorite card games. It’s easy and fast to play and there are plenty of interesting decisions. The online version of the game is available on just about all platforms and there is a thriving community of players. You can just about always get a game. In the series I plan to play a game or two of the single player campaign and then go online against a human opponent. You can challenge me at username: tharkad. I’ll be streaming Star Realms every Tuesday and Friday at 5 PM PST.

Legendary Cube Highlight – Yes There Was Only One
Clearly I still have some things to solve about my streaming set up – sorry about the background hiss. Anyway, I’m really excited about the Legendary Cube Draft they have going on Magic Online right now. I did badly but mostly from a combination of not knowing the MtgO interface very well and forgetting about the move timer in the game. I’ll try it again soon. In this clip I use Xenagos, God of Revels power doubling ability to win a game. I don’t think I’ve done that with the physical card yet!
Subbuteo Skills
Cory has been looking to play Subbuteo again for quite a while and we finally did it last weekend. Cory has certainly improved and being on a soccer team has helped thinking through the tactics. The emotions ran high and we will do it again soon – with a better camera setup.
